Legacy Tree Project

The PHSTC has identified some of the oldest trees (or "Legacy Trees") in Penn Hills.

So far, the White Oak tree pictured above is the oldest, estimated at 325 years old
​(it was a young sapling when Benjamin Franklin was born!).
The tree has a 17 foot circumference! This White Oak tree is located a short walk in the woods at the end of Homestead Rd. See photos of some of Penn Hills’ Legacy Trees below.
