The Penn Hills Shade Tree Commission (PHSTC) is proud to announce that Penn Hills is again a Tree City USA for the fifth year in a row!

What is a Tree City USA?
​Tree City USA is a national recognition program that began in 1976 and is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and National Association of State Foresters.

Penn Hills - Tree City USA
This positive recognition shows that trees, conservation and the environment are important to our community. In recognition, we have received 2 road signs, a 4x6’ flag, and a wall plaque. The flag and plaque are on display at the Penn Hills Municipal building.

The PHSTC and all its great volunteers have worked hard and are proud of their accomplishments. In addition, we are grateful to Penn Hills Municipality and the Penn Hills Community Development Corporation for supporting our efforts.
