In 2018, the PHST began a 3 year effort to remove invasive plants, such as Japanese knotweed, and replace them with over 100 native trees and shrubs, along with native grasses and flowers. This work was funded by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and a Sierra Club Huplits Wildlife Grant.
